FK Fic Rec "What Lies Buried"

switchbladeeyesI enjoy FK case fic. Case fic is fun. Let’s try to solve a mystery and enjoy a vampire story along the way. At the end of the day, this kind of thing is why I watch the show.
As such, I had a good time reading this fic and recommend it:
What Lies Buried by PJ1228.
Nick and Schanke are called to the scene of a murder at an old theater where the decades-old desiccated remains of the victim are found crammed in the floorboards. The big problem is that Nick seems to have a connection to this cold case and Schanke can't let it go.
It’s a great set up and a super fun read that links nicely to the season 2 episode "Forward into the Past." And you're going to get some good LaCroix doing the kinds of things he does best as the story unfolds.
Plus, finally, it actually makes sense when Nick doesn't wear gloves at a crime scene (unlike the show where it never made sense lol).
