Not so much. It just says "door," but my read of the script is that he was originally meant to leave by the stairwell door because he was supposed to "whoosh" after that, which I take to mean flying or moving at high speed, which doesn't work in an elevator.

Interesting. I would agree that the word 'doorway' and the whoosh would indicate that the departure was originally intended to be the stairwell. Makes you wonder why the change to the elevator. I guess that's why there's more to the final product of a show than just reading a script, it's really a collaborative effort.
