It's something that has never occurred to me. But it sounds like a creative solution. :D

Mmmm, mango. Okay I'm with [personal profile] thefruitbat, what on earth is #4?? Was this meme written when aerosol deodorant was more of a thing? (Is it still a big thing? Literally would never know. I use a deodorant subscription service, lmao.)

Blackcurrant for me, in season. Otherwise, the fruit I buy most often are clementines.

I use a stick deodorant. No drying needed.

They're not common in Canada, either (though you can buy imported blackcurrant jam and Ribena). However, I know a fancy greengrocer that stocks them; and I like, if possible, to pick up a small—and very pricey!—punnet once a year, in early August, to have as dessert on my birthday. You can get three tiny portions out of a half-pint punnet.

They need to be stewed and sweetened; but the taste is very distinctive. And popular in Britain, where it's treated as one of those basic flavours like lemon, orange, and strawberry. Sadly, most of the crop there is bought up for commercial use, mostly in jam and concentrated fruit juices like Ribena. So, unless you grow your own bushes, the fresh fruit is expensive.

Even if you've never had any yourself, I'm sure you know of Ribena. It's the stuff they used for blood in FK vampire scenes.

Aahhhhhh! Not taste great?!!! I suppose that is partly a subjective matter (especially if you're not adventurous with new flavours). However, if I recall correctly, the actual problem was the sweetness. It's a syrup intended to be diluted with water; and, as it was supposed to be imitation blood, they used it full strength. If the scene called for the actors to lick it, e.g. off someone's neck, they found it sickly sweet.
