I’m trying for two stories. I’ve been making slow, but steady progress (thank you, Discord writing sprint buddies). I need to step it up a bit. I’ve had a lot less free time this year than last year though. I’ve also been distracted and distressed by, you know, the political state of things.

I think I’m likely to finish at least one story. Hopefully, both. I’m very much looking forward to reading the stories!

I'm still stuck at 750 words. :( Lots of stressful RL stuff going on and it looks like the muse went on holiday or something. Let's see if I have some energy on the weekends.

Edit: Just reading Dust to Dust and it might have given me an idea for another fic. Not along the lines of Dust to Dust, but there was a scene where thought "Uuuhhh, nice twist! ... hmmm, but what if...". And then, a wild plot bunny appeared.

It's certainly been a challenge this year to turn down the RL distractions (read politics) and concentrate on writing fanfic. I honestly thought for a while that I wasn't going to be able to come up with an idea and have to take a pass this year. Not a good feeling!

Fortunately, something finally came to me and it's clicking along, slow but sure. I'm pretty optimistic that I'll get it wrapped up in time.

Good luck to you both with your writing, and whomever else is working to get something for the ficfest! It's been quite a drought on AO3 for FK. Hopefully we can remedy that!

I'm at ~3000 words. Still mostly writing on trains. Still a lot of scenes ahead of me. Apparently this one is getting quite long.

Nothing done so far. However, the worldbuilding_exchange has now opened; so all the work I did on that assignment has come to fruition. I've still got some RL things to complete—taxes!!!—and then I'll have time to write.
